For decades, we have sent students all around the country and the world to experience and participate in God's work. Teams are sent out for a variety of different service opportunities that range from caring for the poor to university outreach. This year we are continuing that tradition, and inviting you to Come and See. Come and see what God is doing all over the PNW, the USA, and the world! On these trips, we also get the chance to invite people to come and see Jesus and what he has done in our lives.

Arab World

Live Dead - Arab World with Brandon

Hey CCF family! If we haven't met yet, my name is Brandon, and I am super excited to be leading our Virtual Mission trip to the Arab World this Spring Break! Our King, Jesus, cares deeply for people of all countries and all cultures, and especially for people currently unreached by the Gospel. As followers of Him, and citizens of His kingdom, we should have that exact same heart. So for this trip, we are teaming up with Live Dead, an international missions group currently seeking, feeding, and fighting for the 361 unreached people groups of the Arab world!

Now You may be thinking: “Brandon, what exactly does a “Virtual Mission trip” to the Arab World look like?” Well, while we can’t go there in-person this Spring break, there are four parts of mission work we will experience on this virtual trip:
Number one is Abiding. Abiding in Jesus is the foundation of everything we do, so every morning we will gather together as a team to dig into the Word, pray, and worship!
The second component is Experience. We want to give you a small taste of various parts of life and culture in the Arab world. This looks like cooking some local dishes together, engaging in daily challenges such as brushing our teeth with bottled water, turning off the A/C etc. We’ll even go on a virtual prayer walk of the region and study the Arabic language!
The third component is Education. Jesus has called each of us to be missionaries to the people around us, and beyond. But how do we do that? Sound missiology, or the study of missions, is vital to following and fulfilling the Great Commission. During this trip, we’ll study some of the foundational building blocks to productive and inspired missionary work.
And the last component is Engagement. Though we are thousands of miles away, we will have deep engagement with our Live Dead church planting team during this trip, fostering long-term relationships. Our primary mechanism will be through a group text (WhatsApp) and daily zoom calls.

Jesus is building a kingdom, and EVERYONE's invited. But how will the unreached people in our world believe in someone of whom they haven’t heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Come join me as we support the Live Dead (Arab World) team in their mission of bringing the Good News to the lost people of the Arab World!

Meeting Time: Our trip activities are scheduled between 6am - 1pm Mon-Fri (with a few outliers), but other than the required 12pm Zoom call with our missionaries and a few specific group bonding activities, most of the trip activities/assignments can be mapped onto your own personal schedule.

Live Dead - Arab World with Jonathan

Come with me as we learn about what God is doing in Muslim countries in northern Africa! The Holy Spirit is working powerfully through the many workers there. We will get to meet with workers in 5 different countries and hear about what God is doing and how we can get involved. Each of you will also be receiving a box of goodies from our hosts, with books, culturally relevant items, and more! Let's go to northern Africa together!

Meeting Time: 7pm-12am Monday, March 22 - Friday, March 26

Vanuatu

Vanuatu with Zach

What do Vanuatu, Pohnpei, and Fiji have in common? You!!! Our team will be visiting with missionaries from these three beautiful island nations in the south pacific. Each day we will connect with missionaries from different countries to learn more about each nation’s unique culture and the way God is moving mountains. We will be prayer warriors, encouragers, students, and brothers and sisters in Christ. We might even get to be tourists on occasion :)

Each morning will start with a team devotional of worship, prayer, and scripture. After that, we will zoom in to the different missionaries’ homes and hear stories of the ways they have seen and are hoping to see God move. We’ll take zoom tours to isolated villages and important cultural sites and prayer in the name of Jesus against the spiritual darkness found in many of those places.

DiD I mENtiOn tHE CuLTuRe bOX!? Part of the $97 registration fee is this box of spices, trip themed T-shirts, cultural artifacts, and devotional materials that will come in the mail. As we meet each day, we’ll open a different smaller package from the larger culture box to help us engage with the rich culture of each nation.

I am so excited to learn about these countries and to partner with these heroes of the faith in prayer! Here is my challenge, come with me! To quote noted philanthropist Shia LaBeouf, “Just do it!!!!!!!!!!!”

The per person cost will vary depending on location! At registration we will ask you to pay a small deposit and the rest will be fundraised over the next few months.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Registration night will be Friday, November 22nd right before our Friday Night Fellowship in Fraser! Doors will open at 6:30pm and trips will fill on a first come, first served basis. So come early, and come prepared with your application and deposit!
