The Way Of Jesus
Most students come to college because they believe somehow it will help them to gain the life they are hoping for. But what exactly is the life we really want? And how do we get it? The culture has lots of ideas and assumptions about this, most of which are dead ends. But Jesus says that he has come that we might have life and have it in abundance (John 10:10)
September 28, 2018 | The Way of Jesus
Everyone comes to college looking for “their best life”. But how do we find that? What’s the way? Jesus came saying only He could offer true life - and that our best access to true life was to follow Him.
October 5, 2018 | The Way of the Beloved
The Way of Jesus is the way of those who realize they are loved before they’ve even started following the Way. What’s it mean to start your life loved? How might it change your understanding of God to know that you can’t do anything to change His love for you - and that following Him is a response to His kindness, not something you earn by following Him?
October 12, 2018 | The Way of Forgiveness
The way of Jesus starts at the reality of being loved, but that doesn’t mean Jesus takes the sins of His beloved lightly. Sin is a spiritual cancer that takes us out of a vibrant healthy life and actually enslaves us. Forgiveness and the power to live differently is available to all through the cross, and if we let Jesus deal with our sin - honestly confessing and repenting from it - God remembers it no more. You want a clean slate? Come to Jesus.
October 19, 2018 | The Way of Community
Following Jesus means walking in the way of community. Being part of a community of believers is so much more than just attending a service once a week. It’s about building meaningful, rich, deep friendships. It’s about giving and receiving. It’s about growing in our love and understanding of Jesus as we experience Him together.
November 2, 2018 | The Way of Worship
When we gather together on Friday nights, we think of worship as the time we spend singing worship songs. But that’s too narrow! The Way of Worship has much more to do with how we posture ourselves toward the Lord and give His gifts away to each other when we gather.
